Idlewilde offers several cabins on the river located right on the banks of the Big Thompson. Others are just a few steps away. We specialize in finding the right accomodations just for you. Just let us know what you're interested in, and we will do our best to provide it. One thing to keep in mind is that the cabins by the river tend to book fast, so you may want to act as soon as possible.

All 13 cabins are furnished like a private residence. We provide you solitude, a luxurious hot tub to relax in, clean towels and sheets as needed, bar soap, and toilet paper. We do not provide a daily cleaning service. Of course, your cabin will be spotless upon your arrival, but cleaning will be up to occupants until departure. We will return...

After two days of rough camping at the RMNP the cabin by the river was just the medicine we needed to recover. Donna and Tom were awesome. always helpful, kind and informative. Marc, the owner works hard to maintain and improve the place. Everyone there is very friendly. The cabins are clean, peaceful with all the necessary amenities - a place we will sure go back to.

We'll be back...

We fell in love with Idlewilde the first time we found it, by accident, on a prior trip to Estes Park. The setting is perfect - right along the Big Thompson River, among towering, mature Ponderosa Pines. The atmosphere is informal, and the staff is so friendly. We had a group of 10 family members in three different cabins. Everyone had a wonderful time. The evening community campfires, only feet from the stream, were a definite highlight. Cannot find a single negative thing to say. We'll be back

We love Idlewilde!

We just returned from our annual trip to Estes Park, and as usual, we stayed at Idlewilde. Our first trip to Estes Park was about 26 years ago when our boys were young. We stayed at Idlewilde then and fell in love with it. On our first trip we stayed in the Holiday cabin. We have stayed in several of the other cabins over the years, but last year and this year we stayed in the Holiday again. We also have already reserved the Holiday for our 2015 trip. The river is so soothing and sitting on your screened in porch listening to it is great!! We recommend Idlewilde to anyone we know who is visiting Estes Park. We would never stay anywhere else in Estes. Tom and Donna are great, as were Lloyd and Donna last year. Very friendly and helpful. Best place to stay in Estes Park. Can't wait till next year!!
