Cabins on the river, solitude, and a hot tub for relaxing...

Idlewilde offers several cabins on the river located right on the banks of the Big Thompson. Others are just a few steps away. We specialize in finding the right accomodations just for you. Just let us know what you're interested in, and we will do our best to provide it. One thing to keep in mind is that the cabins by the river tend to book fast, so you may want to act as soon as possible.

All 13 cabins are furnished like a private residence. We provide you solitude, a luxurious hot tub to relax in, clean towels and sheets as needed, bar soap, and toilet paper. We do not provide a daily cleaning service. Of course, your cabin will be spotless upon your arrival, but cleaning will be up to occupants until departure. The kitchens are equipped with basic necessities including stoves, refrigerators and microwaves. Sorry, we do not allow pets.

Very relaxing quiet place to stay

Donna and Tom bent over backwards to keep us happy. We stayed at the Dun-workin cabin which is very small but very comfortable. We had seen previous posts about this cabin having a bad bed and no hot water. We thought the bed was very comfortable and we never had a problem with hot water even after both of us took long showers. The sound of the river was comforting and there was easy access to shopping and RMNP. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience. Thanks a million Donna!"

We love Idlewilde!

We just returned from our annual trip to Estes Park, and as usual, we stayed at Idlewilde. Our first trip to Estes Park was about 26 years ago when our boys were young. We stayed at Idlewilde then and fell in love with it. On our first trip we stayed in the Holiday cabin. We have stayed in several of the other cabins over the years, but last year and this year we stayed in the Holiday again. We also have already reserved the Holiday for our 2015 trip. The river is so soothing and sitting on your screened in porch listening to it is great!! We recommend Idlewilde to anyone we know who is visiting Estes Park. We would never stay anywhere else in Estes. Tom and Donna are great, as were Lloyd and Donna last year. Very friendly and helpful. Best place to stay in Estes Park. Can't wait till next year!!

Repeat this retreat!

I have stayed at allot of places in Estes Park and it is not often that you get to have coffee every morning with the property Managers. Deb and Larry are some of the most genuine and delightful people I have ever encountered during a vacation. Although cabin #7 was impressive in itself with the leather furniture and perfectly maintained digs. I strongly feel that the connection one makes with the staff is 1/2 the experience. They wanted to connect with me and build a relationship...loved it!! I strongly suggest you make this a repeat for a retreat! See you soon Larry and Deb! RR and PW
