needs. So very clean, cozy, convenient and well furnished! And Idlewilde By The River's unmatched, quiet
location right on the rushing Big Thompson River just the right distance from the bustle of town...combined with
easy access to the park's entrance gate. Wow! All of this combined with watching a big antlered elk munch on
shrubs next door one morning.....and seeing another guest pull in a very large trout from the river, made for an

"We just returned from our first trip to Estes Park and had the pleasure of staying in the
Riverside cabin at Idlewilde. We found the cabin absolutely spotless and in the most perfect setting. Although
Idlewilde is conveniently located close to town it is tucked away and is extremely peaceful. Donna and Lloyd are
wonderful and were very helpful with suggestions of restaurants, etc. They made us feel like family right away! We
appreciated the nice library in the office and spent a couple of hours one day sitting by the river reading and
relaxing. If you are considering a trip to Estes Park look no further for lodging - make your reservations at
Idlewilde By The River!!"

and a place to reconnect with nature, you've found it at Idlewilde. The cabins are very comfortable and
offer a great place to unwind. The river is lovely and the sounds of the rushing water are very calming.
This was our first stay at Idlewilde, and we're already booking for next year! This is one of our favorite

and spacious, but most of all we enjoyed the screened porch where we could sit and watch the hummingbirds.
We have been going to Estes Park for a number of years and really do love it. Your resort is so convenient
to the Park and downtown. Donna is so gracious and caring with all the guests. Thank you for a very

"We spent 2 weeks in the hummingbird cabin August 2009. We loved it! The cabin
was spacious, clean and so close to the National Park it was like having a grand playground in your
back yard. We hiked more than 60 miles. Knowing we had such a wonderful place to come back to every
evening made the hiking even more special. Donna a Lloyd are wonderful and made us feel right at home.
They even stock the river with trout every week! They were very responsive to any of our needs. We
will definetly be back! "

"Idlewilde was the perfect place for our family vacation in the Rockies.
We had all the clean, cozy comforts of home, while being able to enjoy the beauty of nature all
around. We stayed in the Hummingbird, which was spotless (and I'm a VERY picky housekeeper!) and
totally updated. We also enjoyed how close we were to Rockie Mountain National Park and downtown
Estes Park. Now that we're home, I miss being lulled to sleep at night by the Big Thompson River!
But most of all, we loved the warmth and hospitality we received from Donna and Lloyd. There is no
doubt that we will stay at the Idlewilde if we vacation again in the Rockies! "
