"We had a wonderful 4 nights and 3 days at Idlewilde by the River - our cabin
was spotless when we arrived and had all the necessities we needed to prepare our meals and be
comfortable during our stay. The river close behind the cabin was breathtaking, as well as soothing.
We spent a good part of our days at Rocky Mountain National Park and, one night we returned to our
cabin to find 4 elk nibbling on the bush beside our door - it was wonderful. Thanks to Lloyd and
Donna for making our visit memorable - we would not hesitate to stay at Idlewilde again if we travel
to that area."

stay. We have been returning to Idlewilde since a few days after 9/11. This time we were treated to wild turkey, elk
and dozens of humming birds. One young bull elk raided the bird feeder. A very comical sight. The Claypools are
wonderful hosts."

"this past fall of Oct, 2008, my husband and i spent the most delightful 4 days in our
wonderful cabin, Atola, beside the Big Thompson river. Elk gave us a late afternoon show as they saundered down
to the riiver to drink and the herd Bull, bugeling, walked them back and forth on the hillside. The cabin was
rustic, but with all the amenities of home. Neat, clean and very warm. The chairs outside granted us a little
time in the late afternoon sun as we listened to the River and watched the bigSquire jay as he ate corn and tried
to steal a few crumbs. The time there at Idlewilde was wonderful, peaceful and not over priced. I look forward to
returning to this wonderful spot of Colorado whenever possible. I have recommended it to my family and many friends
and would love to see the Claypools again. Hugs, c"

"While we were at Idle Wilde in June with my daughters fiiances' family we had a wonderful
time. The cabins were clean, neat, and well maintained. We also enjoyed the river flowing behind the cabins, it
was very soothing. It was a nice treat to also enjoy the hot tub available."

"My husband and I celebrated my birthday with a special trip to the Rockies. To have the
"DunWorkin'" cabin made my big 30th enchanting and perfect. Lloyd and Donna made us feel like long lost family.
The cabin was adorable, the grounds were beautiful, central to everything and so quiet (which is what we cherished
being from Los Angeles). We were lucky to experience snow and the crisp afterdays. But the shining moment was - on
the morning of my birthday, as we were leaving (sad), we had a private moment with a large buck crossing the river.
And as though it couldn't get better...right before we got in the car, 3 more large male Elk (huge racks and all)
greeted us on the grounds by our cabin - just munchin' away! What a perfect birthday present. We can't wait to get
back and stay at Idlewidle again. Thank you, Lloyd and Donna, for the best birthday trip ever!"
